A New Chapter Behind the Scenes: Our Upgraded Library System Launches June 24

After five months of dedicated work, we are excited to announce that on June 24th, we will officially retire Infolocate and AccessCLE, and transition to a modern, cloud-based platform.  Most importantly, the new system enhances the user experience by improving resource discovery, accessibility, and unified access to both print and digital collections.  It also marks a major step forward in how we manage our daily operations. The new system streamlines internal workflows and strengthens collaboration with courthouse libraries.

Integrated CPD Materials
A key enhancement is the integration of our CPD materials into our main library system, allowing for more efficient management and faster delivery to our users. We have also introduced a dedicated search view for LSO CPD Materials, offering an experience like AccessCLE, but with added functionality to make locating CPD content even easier.

Catalogue Renamed
We have renamed our catalogue. The former name, Infolocate, has been retired and replaced with a more inclusive and descriptive title: Great Library and Ontario Courthouse Libraries Catalogue. This new name better reflects the expanded scope of our services and our continued partnership with courthouse libraries across Ontario.

Update Your Bookmarks
If you have previously bookmarked links to AccessCLE or Infolocate, you can update them now. The new system uses different URLs, and updating your bookmarks will ensure uninterrupted access to the materials you rely on when the new system goes live officially on June 24th.

Improved Search and Remote Access
While the core search functions remain familiar, you may notice improvements in how search results are displayed and how resources are labeled. We have also improved access to electronic resources, laying the foundation for a more seamless and secure login process that better supports remote access throughout the province. Details about the new login process will follow soon.

Coming in Early 2026
This system migration is just the beginning. A new public-facing search interface designed to better support the evolving research needs of our users, will be introduced in early 2026.

Thank You
A heartfelt thank you to my team and colleagues at the LSO for their exceptional dedication throughout this transition, and to our colleagues at the Toronto Lawyers’ Association Library whose collaboration and insights were instrumental in shaping a system that better serves all our users.
