Introducing: Regulations Research Refresher!

You asked, we listened! Following the success of the Great Library’s annual Legislative Research Refreshers (now accredited), the librarians developed another instructional session focusing on how to research regulations.

Join us for an online 1-hour group tutorial, where one of our law librarians will go through the fundamentals of regulations research. Topics include an overview of the regulation-making process (Ontario and Federal), the publication and citation of regulations, an introduction to a range of effective time-saving tools, and a live demonstration of common regulation research tasks like:

  • tracing the amendment history of a regulation
  • searching Canada/Ontario Gazette
  • strategies for discovering legislative intent

Register for a virtual Regulations Research Refresher:

July 29th, 2024 @11AM
August 26th, 2024 @11AM

We will also review the use of print and online sources such as e-Laws, Justice Laws, Canada/Ontario Gazettes, and HeinOnline.

This program contains 1 professionalism hour.

Zoom details will be sent prior to your scheduled session. We hope to ‘see’ you there!
