Great Library Holiday Hours 2025

As we get ready for the festive season, here are the Great Library’s holiday hours.

Dec 24 – CLOSED
Dec 25 – CLOSED
Dec 26 – CLOSED
Dec 27 – CLOSED
Dec 28 – CLOSED (as usual)
*Dec 29 – 9am-5pm (virtual service only)
*Dec 30 – 9am-5pm (virtual service only)
Dec 31 – CLOSED
Jan 1 – CLOSED

*Physical library closed, but virtual legal research assistance and document delivery still available these two days. Email greatlibrary@lso.ca for assistance.

Regular hours will resume Friday, January 2, 2026.

Please note that the Great Library will be closed on Monday, October 13, for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Library Closure September 30, 2025 – National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

The Great Library will be closed Tuesday, September 30 in recognition of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

According to Honourable Justice Murray Sinclair-baa, Chair of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, “Education¹ is what got us into this mess and education² is key to getting us out of it.” In the spirit of this sentiment, we would like to draw your attention to two fundamental Indigenous Law resources, now publicly available via CanLII.
