The Internet Archive has digitized more than 20,000 Canadian Government publications and made them freely available online through the Canadian Government Publications Portal. These 20,000 documents are organized into 70 collections, and feature provincial as well as federal material.

While the Canadian Government Publications Portal includes reports, standing committee documents, sessional papers, statistics, public accounts, estimates, and more, there are a few collections that have been particularly helpful to us at the Great Library when conducting Ontario legislative research without access to our print collection. We have listed these collections, along with their coverage*, below:

Ontario Regulations Collection – annual coverage 1944-2007
Revised Regulations of Ontario – coverage of the 1960, 1970, 1980 & 1990 Revisions
Ontario Bills – annual coverage 1867-1997
Legislative Assembly of Ontario: Official Report of Debates (Hansard) – annual coverage 1945-1980

Check out the Portal for yourself to gain access to this useful collection of digitized government documents.
