Online Legislative Research Refreshers (now, accredited!)

Join us for a 1-hour group tutorial where one of our law librarians will go through the fundamentals of legislative research including an overview of the legislative process (focusing on Ontario and Federal), effective time-saving tools, and a live demonstration of common legislative research tasks like: 

  • tracing the amendment history of a statute 
  • searching Hansard online 
  • discovering legislative intent 

We will also review the use of print and online sources such as e-Laws, Justice Laws, and HeinOnline.  

This program contains 1 Professionalism Hour.

Two Dances at Osgoode Hall

Doors Open is happening in Toronto this coming weekend and Osgoode Hall is once again opening its doors to the public. The theme of this year’s event is Hidden Histories, where the public can uncover untold stories from across the city. 

We thought this would be a great opportunity to share a little-known fact about the Great Library: it was the location of two balls (as far as we are aware), 122 years apart.
