Need a refresher on legislative or regulatory research? Join our law librarians for a series of free, 1-hour online group tutorials that cover the fundamentals, provide practical research strategies, and demonstrate time-saving tools to help you navigate complex legal sources. Each session qualifies for 1 Professionalism Hour.

Online Legislative Research Refreshers (now, accredited!)

Join us for a 1-hour group tutorial where one of our law librarians will go through the fundamentals of legislative research including an overview of the legislative process (focusing on Ontario and Federal), effective time-saving tools, and a live demonstration of common legislative research tasks like:

tracing the amendment history of a statute
searching Hansard online
discovering legislative intent

We will also review the use of print and online sources such as e-Laws, Justice Laws, and HeinOnline.

This program contains 1 Professionalism Hour.
